All you retro gamer junkies looking for your next fix? Tetris Attack is here to fill your needs Almost forgotten in the anneals of time, Tetris is the "Candy Crush" of it's time. On second thought, it's way better. Ian of Thriftdweller compares it to "Crack!" Although we don't condone drug use or mean to make light of it.... THIS GAME IS DOPE!!!

Originally, Tetris Attack was released as Panel de Pon in Japan on the Super Famicom, it was replaced with Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island characters for us simple, english speaking video game masses. It received rave reviews in it's time but don't let the name fool you, there's no Tetris in this game as we know it. Think of Candy Crush type puzzle game... actually, think of Candy Crush as Tetris Attack. it did come first!

The concept seems easy, match 3 same types together and hooray! It's in the "Attack" of this game that makes it's "Crack Status". Thriftdweller had a long afternoon playing just this game against each other (and yes, Ian is the champion!). There is a learning curve, but once you get the hang of chaining and combos, you'll be on the edge of your seat grabbing as many combos as you can. Much like "Super Puzzle Fighter" the better you do, the harder it is on your opponent.
In the spirit of arcade games, Tetris Attack can be quick, fitting in many games as possible in a short time. Before you know it, 30 games have passed and your wife is mad at you for taking too long. You can't pull yourself away. The graphics are great and the game is beautiful. One player is great, but two is better! Fun music, fun action, fun times, it has Mario characters and it's a great value at only $10... Get this game!
