Before being released in North America, the Nintendo's predecessor in Japan was known as Family Computer or Famicom. Throughout the mid to late 90's in Canada (and we're sure the USA as well) there were a run of these knock off Famicom consoles. You may have seen them growing up at Dollar-Stores advertised as "200 in 1's" or something similar. Today, we in the retro video game community refer to them as "Fami-Clones". They're cheap looking but fun to get when you find them and they're a part of our history. Our friend Andrew reviews a few of these Fami-clones from his collection!
